C8 and the post
A C8 envelope cannot be posted on its own. Royal Mail accepts letters from 140 × 90 mm, Deutsche Post from 100 × 70 mm, and C8 is too short for either. To post a C8 card, put it inside a larger envelope such as C6.
How many C8 pieces fit on a sheet?
| Sheet | Without bleed | With 3 mm bleed and 5 mm margin |
|---|---|---|
| A4 (210 × 297 mm) | 10 | 9 |
| A3 (297 × 420 mm) | 25 | 18 |
| SRA3 (320 × 450 mm) | 26 | 20 |
These figures are for flat C8 cards. If you make mini envelopes yourself, each one needs much more paper because of the flaps.
