Printing your own cards
Without bleed, nine B8 cards fit on an A4 sheet in a 3 × 3 grid. Cards with a background colour to the edge need 3 mm of bleed each. Then an A4 sheet with a 5 mm margin holds only eight, while a printer's SRA3 sheet takes 18.
- Card stock of 300 to 350 gsm, so the cards do not crease when shuffled
- Line up the backs precisely, otherwise a shifted border gives the card away
- Round the corners with a corner punch if the cards will be shuffled a lot
| Sheet | Without bleed | With 3 mm bleed and 5 mm margin |
|---|---|---|
| A4 (210 × 297 mm) | 9 | 8 |
| A3 (297 × 420 mm) | 19 | 18 |
| SRA3 (320 × 450 mm) | 25 | 18 |
